This is an sturdy piece of Sterling Silver jewellery (marked "925"). It is unisex and could look just as good on any gender. The Mariner links are old-style oval rather that the more popular "puff-style" in costume jewellery today.
The owner of this piece was an art student in the swinging 60's and has many fond memories wearing this necklace. She became a longtime art restorer with her husband restoring artwork throughout the UK & Europe.
I have seen the owner wearing this piece on occasion before asking me to find it a new owner to love it again. She has an eclectic collection of necklaces collected over the last 50+ years which sell regulary in my little Boutique. A lady with considerable class and sophistication if I may say so myself.
IMPERFECTIONS:
This is in very good condition for its age. There are some small areas of patina to the link joints and bracelet clasp considerate of its age.
